Workshop learning new skills

In May Bernice & Lauren who are based in Wadeye, an Aboriginal community in the NT spent a week with NFIT attending workshops learning new skills. Jeremy conducted training on how the Call Centre operates answering customer calls and the protocols that are used. He also instructed them on how to set up a workstation.

Our customers are important to us so when we knew AMSANT were having there annual general meeting with other members across the NT area we were happy to support them by sending out out technicians to insure the IT systems were running well through out the week. its important to support local community with these events

Expanding Our Training to SA

Expanding Our Training to SA

In a new partnership with our clients in South Australia we now have two young trainees Dale and Jerome, they are working and studying their Cert 4 in information technology providing on the ground support, through this program they are getting the opportunity to grow there skills by working closely with us. Dale and Jerome spent the week with us working with the team and completing there onboarding.

IT Workshops for the community at Wadeye.

Last week we commenced a series of IT Workshops for the community at Wadeye. It was great to have so many people show their interest and attend. The purpose of these workshops is to help people improve their computer knowledge as well as provide the opportunity for someone with an interest in IT to begin a career with us. Thank you Wadeye it was a great start and we cant wait to come back next week if the weather improves

Peter Fry joined us several years ago seeking an opportunity in IT. Since then he has worked hard to forge a career in IT culminating in being promoted recently to the Site Lead at Tindal Air Base.
Our goal of providing Opportunity through Technology for young aboriginal people is starting to pay off, we hope to share more stories like this with you in the near future.

Congratulations to the students at Palmerston College Yr 12 Clontarf on your graduation. What a great result to have 22 boys graduate as part of this program.

The Clontarf Foundation exposes the boys to different worksites to encourage different career pathways to get their minds thinking about their futures. We are proud to support Clontarf with their program.
